This little section is for all of you science guys. Attraction goes much deeper than simple psychology and game.  This article will briefly focus on the root physical level of why men and women attract one another.   This is Darwin’s Theory of Evolution applied to dating.  In the game of evolution, there are two key values:

SURVIVAL AND REPLICATION

Survival is the ability to stay alive, to provide protection and security for yourself, others, and your children.

Replication is the ability to produce attractive healthy children who will carry on your genes to the next generation.

Here is an interesting thing to note.  Men have a higher survival value and women have higher reproductive value.  Understandably, women in modern society have as much ability to survive on their own as men do and are in no way inferior, but our biology is designed and adapted to hundreds of thousands of years of the way we lived life in prehistoric days.  Only recently have women been given their rights and choice to control when they reproduce.  Now condoms are being used and birth control is readily available.

Women have higher reproductive value because their bodies carry and produce children.  This is why men are so turned on by a woman’s looks, because her looks signify health and fertility.

Men have a higher survival value because in prehistoric times, men hunted, brought food back, and protected the family from invaders or animals.  We are also physically stronger, and when a woman was pregnant, we protected her and the baby from anything that may have harmed them.

Since bashing an animal on the street with a club and dragging it home to a woman is a little of out of style now, well for most women at least, we have to do other things to show our survival value.  We need to make a woman feel safe and protected by leading her, making decisions, holding her while crossing the street, and many other things.
