You have finally got the hang of the approach and your fears are beginning to evaporate. However, you are still getting social resistance and bitch shields from the women you’re interested in. This is where negs come in. Negs were originally developed by the legendary Mystery. The purpose of the neg is to destroy social resistance and bitch shields, while at the same time raise your social value. Negs come in the form of false disqualifiers, backhanded compliments, or expressions of active disinterest. The trick to nailing the neg is always keeping it playful and not lingering on the neg after you’ve said it. Here are some examples:
“You have gorgeous hair! Is that your real hair color? No? Oh, well it still looks nice.”
“You have gorgeous hair! But how did you dye the roots that color?”
“Oh my god, where’s your off button? Does she always do this? How do you guys roll with her?”
“Wait, open your mouth? You have, something, there between your teeth, there, you got it.”
“If I wasn’t gay, you’d so be mine.”
“You are so not my type. You’re very pretty though.”
“Oh my god, you’re like a little sister or something!”
“You’re so tall! You’re like a giraffe or something!”
“Woah, hands off the merchandise, this ain’t for free you know! I’m going to have to charge you five dollars every time you do that.”
You will definitely get slammed for negging from time to time. Negging is an art form that takes awhile to get the hang of. Obviously, you can see some negs are stronger than others. You must get field experience to be socially calibrated enough to know when, how hard, and how many times to neg. Be careful of overnegging. You can wipe a woman’s self-esteem to nothing. Then she will resent you for it and you will blow yourself out. If a woman treats you with an attitude, you must neg her before you continue your conversation with her. Once you see the bitch shield has gone down and social resistance from her group is gone, then you know you have negged enough. If you’ve overnegged her, you can apologize or give her a compliment.
